Programme		The transformation of the world, in last the 50 years, with the deep corollary of modifications in the organization of the human life, in the structures of symbolic representation, the systems of values and beliefs and in the mission and purposes of the institutions that regulate and guide the life in society, induced the debate on the role of the Education in the human development. At the same time it placed the School as an institution in the centre of the discussion on the factors and the models that should guide this development, being certain that the exponential evolution due to technology questioned the adapting capacity of the educative agents and their proposals of education and formation.
		Being worried about the consequences of this issue in the formation of new and in-service primary school teachers, Escola Superior de Educação de Paula Frassinetti proposes a reflection to the highest level, carried through an International Congress in 2007, where some of the most important present-day specialists will look for answers for the problems and perplexities which afflict these professionals and the educative agents in general.

Free Communication Papers	Sending and Appreciation	Communication papers shall be sent to the secretary services of the congress (cieb@esepf.pt), together with the proposal application form (see calendar for details) as a MS Word document. They shall be submitted to the Scientific Comission in order to be evaluated. In case they are not approved, they shall not be presented.
	Presentation	Each communication shall be presented during 15 minutes.
	Available Material	Each communication room will entail a computer and a datashow.
	Calendar	March 31st Deadline for sending a summary of the communication papers.
		May 31st Deadline for sending the full communication paper.
		June 30th Deadline for Scientific Comission to send an evaluation of the communication paper.
	Norms	The pieces of work shall include: Work title, complete name of the authors, e-mail address, institution to which one belongs to; Summary (between 150  to 300 words, including: aims, methodology, results and conclusions); Key words (3 to 5); The text (between 5 to 15 numbered pages aligned down and right; it can also include titles for a better reading); Tables with titles and captions; Graphics with titles and captions; Final notes (the texts shall contain footnotes); Bibliographical references: all the complete references shall be inserted in the end of the article and shall obey to the Portuguese norm- NP 405-1.
	Articles Formatting	Text: Times New Roman, 12 pt.; Titles (Heading1) Times New Roman, 12 pt., bold, spacing before 18, spacing after 12; Subtitles (Heading2): Times New Roman, 12 pt., bold, italics, spacing before 12, spacing after 6; Subtitles (Heading 3): Times New Roman, 12 pt., italics, spacing before 12, spacing after 3; A4 Page Type; Simple spacing, justified or aligned to the left; Left and superior margins with 3 cm and the inferior one with 2 cm; It shall not exist blank spaces nor additional spaces, which difficult the final formatting procedures.
